Indian-American Woman Elected To The U.S. House For The First Time

Pramila Jayapal was elected to Congress Tuesday night, the first Indian-American woman to hold a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Currently a Washington Democratic state senator, she defeated fellow Democrat Brady Walkinshaw with 57 percent of the vote.
